Living in this virtual information age, most movements I see consist of spreading a message. Someone asks, “What can I do to stop sweatshops?” Someone answers, “Raise awareness.” As if knowing that something exists means that it’ll stop existing. If that were true, there would be no republicans, screaming children, or screaming republicans. Sadly, knowing is—as they say—half the battle. The other half is doing shit. Food Inc. is dope because it empowers people to do just that:

Shit.

I mean, after they eat good food. Food Inc. essentially compares today’s food corporations to tobacco companies. My only issue is that much like a fine cigarette, I enjoy crap food. I mean, General Tso’s Chicken with a cold coke and after dinner smoke—it’s about as good as heroin, and just as bad for you.

You want to save the world, but you want a cheeseburger, don’t you?
