Two very talented cats did the art chores for today's tribute strip. The line work was done by Pablo Santander and the color was done by a wonderful guy who goes by AAH. Click on their names to get to their deviantArt pages. The dialog, by the way, is a reference to when Bob Dylan first played electric guitar. A guy in the audience yelled "Judas," and Dylan responded "You're a liar." And what the hell does that have to do with Aslan and Iorek? Well, The Chronicles of Narnia are all about supporting Christianity, and His Dark Materials is all about tearing it down. So, the dialog makes sense, at least in my head.
The war over religion is fascinating to me. I'm not so invested in who's right and who's wrong. I'm just interested in the people who care so deeply about it all. Me? I'm all about people coming together. Take for instance the creation of this strip. I'm here in the States; Pablo's in Chile; and AAH is in Mexico. And we put this little strip together just for the sake of making something.
