Today's guest artist uses the handle Wolich22. Due to some miss-communicating on my part, the art ended up a lower resolution than it should have, and that's my bust. But to see higher resolution work of his, check out his deviantArt page. Enjoy.

So, Rue McClanahan died two weeks ago today. That sucks for a couple of reasons. For one, I wouldn't wish that journey into darkness on anyone, but it also means that Betty White is the only living Golden Girl. I don't know why in the hell I ever watched The Golden Girls, I was six when it came on TV and thirteen went it went off (and a dude at both ages), so I was hardly their demographic. Somehow I loved it despite the fact that I didn't get Blaire's innuendos--or maybe because I didn't get them.

It's funny though. While I think of that cast as forever senior citizens, each of them was known for their beauty in their younger years. Sort of like how Paul Newman is known by Generation Y as the salad dressing guy, or how I imagine octogenarians storming the beaches of Normandy. We tend to remember people how they were when they left us, not how they were in their prime. So embrace your prime while you're in it and when you're past it.
