Today’s art was done by the exceptionally talented Beetle, creator of The Crew Dogs—a refreshingly different webcomic about the military. His sense of style is dead on, and he’s able to do some hilarious things with facial expressions.

Now about Leno—I should say this upfront—I don’t hate him. I’ve never met him and hold no personal grudges against him. That being said, I despise what he represents, which is to say all that is wrong with today’s entertainment. In a word, his show is easy. It’s not going to inspire you; it certainly won’t offend you; and dollars to donuts, it’s sure as hell not going to surprise you. Leno’s ratings are a product of the popularity of laziness. In short, Leno is TV that America can fall asleep to.

We did a strip about Aaron Sorkin’s return to television a couple weeks ago. We’re both pretty damn excited because he’s more than an entertainer. He’s an artist. Last time he launched a show it opened with this clip.

You want to inspire and be inspired, don’t you?
